Challenge
Stairslide came to us with a mission: redesign their flagship indoor slide to be more cost-effective, safer for kids, and easier to ship without compromising the fun. Their existing product was durable and well-loved, expensive to produce, expensive to ship, and presented a few minor safety concerns. They also wanted to lay the groundwork for future accessories and international sales.

Approach
We focused on simplifying and refining the core product to reduce weight, improve safety, and decrease shipping costs and manufacturing costs. The new design is shorter, narrower, and safer, with redesigned geometry that eliminates pinch points and an updated offramp that works across a variety of stair slopes. We also added integrated clip points to support future accessories and handled all prototyping in-house to ensure seamless fit and function. To support scalability, we rebuilt Stairslide’s supply chain using a trusted manufacturing partner, ultimately cutting production costs in half and improving shipping efficiency—especially for international markets.
Outcome
The redesigned Stairslide is currently in production, with clear wins already in place. The new design reduces weight by 40% per part, cuts manufacturing costs by 50%, and packs more efficiently for overseas shipping. It’s also safer, more adaptable, and built to grow through future accessories. With a cleaner design, a stronger supply chain, and a clear plan for expansion, Stairslide is ready for its next chapter and so are the kids eager to take the ride.
